What is Phone Flashing?

Phone flashing is the process where technicians reprogram

you’re phone to communicate with a different service provider.

You may have heard the term “Flashing” associated with

installing a new rom or firmware on a phone but that is

not the same thing!

You may wonder why you can’t just take your phone to

the carrier of your choice and simply ask them to put it

on their network.

everything for two years but she is paying over $125.00 now and

every month the bill goes up and no one can tell her why or how

much!

Mary decides she needs to go back to prepaid but after having the

Nnce Samsung touch 2 for six months it’s a little hard to go back to

a Metro POS phone!

Now at this point Sprint is going to lose a customer BUT they know

that Mary is not going to step down from that Galaxy Touch 2 to a

Metro – Boost or Cricket phone! It goes against human nature! We

want our toys and we don’t compromise on things so dear to us like

our phone!

Think about it – who do you spend as much time with every day as you

do with your phone?

So Sprint doesn’t want you to be able to take THERE phone to another

carrier. They make you decide – Nice phone and pay Sprint or junk phone

and save money.

How do they force you into this decision? By locking the phone to their

carrier ONLY!!!!

The actual software on the phone will not work with any other carrier

so if you want to leave Sprint you will have to leave your phone behind.
